Click the "New Rhythm" button to start a blank rhythm with a placeholder title and empty phrases.
Click the clock icon to choose a cycle: binary (4 pulses of 4 subdivisions, 16 slots), ternary (4 pulses of 3, 12 slots), or long ternary (8 pulses of 3, 24 slots). Pick this before entering beats, since switching later truncates or pads existing phrases.
Click the instrument icon to the left of a phrase label to switch it between Djembe, Dundunba, Sangban and Kenkeni.
Click on beats of each phrase to edit. Djembe phrases use Bass, Tone, Slap, Rest and Flams. Dundun phrases have two rows: a bell row (X) above the line and a drum row below it (O for an open hit, X for a mute).
Use the bottom bar controls to manage the editor.
Use phrase controls to repeat or play sections, and to design your rhythm.
Click on the title, the notes under it, or phrase labels to edit them. Use spacebar to play/pause.
